[OFFER CLOSED – These spots went pretty fast. Thanks to everyone who replied! If you replied and don’t hear anything back in the next couple days, please let me know.]
Hey guys. The folks at FluentU reached out to me and asked if I would like to offer something to my readers. And since I don’t get mind getting you guys free stuff, I said, sure, why not?
The first ten people to respond get free private Beta access to FluentU Spanish, French, or English.
The public beta launch is in April, so you can get a sneak peek at something before everyone else.
This offer expires when I get ten replies, or on Friday, March 14–whichever comes first.
To respond, send me your email address. You can do it by:
- Leaving your email address in the comments (although I don’t blame you if you don’t want your email address floating around publicly)
- Writing me a private message with your email address at my facebook page – facebook.com/languagesurfer
- Writing me an email with your email address at firstname.lastname@example.org
Once I get the batch of email addresses, I’ll forward them on to FluentU, and they’ll contact you with instructions from there.
What is FluentU? It’s–as you probably guessed–a language-learning site. The first language they covered was Chinese, and they described themselves as such:
“FluentU is a new way to learn Chinese through authentic video content like music videos, movie trailers, news, and inspiring talks. With engaging and immersive content, we empower users to learn with fun videos exhibiting the diversity and vibrancy of modern Chinese culture.”
Now they’re branching out into Spanish, French, and English, and want to know what you guys have to say about their product. I haven’t used the site myself, but it looks promising.
Here’s a video:
I’m all about comprehensible input, so I think this site shows a lot of promise.
Looking forward to hearing from you! Oh, and if you use the site, you have to let me know what you think of it as well.
