When you say, “to exclude or limit, or to attempt or purport to exclude or limit, its liability” do you mean in the sense of appearing or seeming to do something false, or to intend in a malicious way?

      Hi James,

I got the text of the disclaimer from this site: http://www.freenetlaw.com/free-website-disclaimer. But even though those words were prepared by someone else, I did read them and agree with their applicability to my site.

I had to read that whole paragraph a few times to understand it, but basically the gist is that putting up this disclaimer doesn’t mean I get to go around breaking the law. Writing “Disclaimer!” on my site doesn’t mean I can lie, be fraudulent, or do anything else illegal and just get away with it. Which is fine because of course I have no intention of doing that.

I think if you read around my site, you’ll see I’m pretty straightforward. I write about language learning, giving my honest opinions, on a site free of advertising. I try to make some money with reasonably priced ebooks and some relevant affiliate links to Amazon products I believe in. Nothing about that is going to change.
